Hank Mathies, a fig enthusiast from Long Island, sent us starts of the only fig bush he found still alive above ground after a very cold winter on Long Island in the nineties. Our plant has survived over the years and give a medium size yellow fig that is similar to Marseillies. Perhaps a dryer, sweet taste and later ripening. Probably from Italy, since the man who grew the fig was from there. Space 6-10' circle Zones 7-8
